The (3aamber held their weekly meeting at the grade school gym after lunch. This was the result of an invita- t.ion extended by school superin- tendent, Floyd Moritz, for the Chamber to sample the hot lunch program, eating the same menu as the school children. The tasty meal included macaroni and cheese, jealo salad, hot rolls with butter, cherry cobbler with whipped cream, and coffee. At the business meeting dis- cussion was held on Highway 2 and the group decided to meet with the Ephrata group should they ask for a meeting. The Chamber is ourecord as opposing any change in Highway 2. House AtClinic ams .e :ourney SamHardt reported on work at at the Memorial Hall, stating that the project should be com- pleted next week. Tony Tabert, Chairman of the finance committee, asked that Chamber members make their individual coutributinus to the medical clinic just as soon as wHEA~-T THE STATE'S MOST LUCRATIVE CROP Wheat was the single most valuable farm crop in Washing- tonState again in 1962. The re-play was set for Tuesday and this date was postponed tmtfl Wednesday. The Rams have only two games remaining on their schedule before hitting the tour- ney trail. For Coach Don Riggs' Rawa every game is a must in the county tournament. The Rams will play Feb 14, Feb 15 and Feb 16 and must win each game to qualify asthethird entry from Grant County to the district. At the present time it appears thatthe highflying Rams will go go against Peshastin-Dryden in the first game of the District. Thisgame willbe playedat 7 PM Feb 29rod at the Pioneer gym in Wenatchee. It appears that Coach Riggs' Rams h a v e a better than even chance to make it to the State tournament for Coulee City's third appearance. The current Rams are a well coached quin- tet, playing s mart basketball, and c an hold their own physicaUy against any team. At the present time all members of the Rams are in top condition and certainly have no intention of being de- feated in the county or district meets. For the first time they are playing a pattern type game with set offen- sive movementswith outstanding result. The current issue of the Rams are better prepared for tournament play than any other Rams entry we can remember.
